Distance learning at FIT: Computer Requirements

 

  • Graphical access to the World Wide Web
  • Use of Netscape Navigator 2.02 or higher, or Internet Explorer 4.0
  • Internet Service Provider (ISP) with Winsock compliant, true PPP, or SLIP
    access
  • 486 or higher PC, 8 MB RAM or higher,14.4 baud modem or higher (Some courses may have additional computer requirements, such as sound card, color monitor,
    or CD-ROM drive.)
  • Macintosh users must have system 7.0 or higher.
  • Several hours per week for on-line activities

    NOTE: Prior to enrolling, you will need to test your access to the SLN site at
    http://sln.suny.edu.
